Regional Soil Health Specialist at USDA
Stan Boltz is currently a Regional Soil Health Specialist for the USDA NRCS, representing the states of Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Stan has worked for the NRCS for 35 years, and prior to his current position, all of his time was spent as a Range Management Specialist. Stan worked in Nevada for 10 years in three separate field offices. He then moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, and worked for 8 years on a Regional Technical Team in the Northern Plains Region. Stan then moved to Huron, South Dakota, and was the State Range Management Specialist for 12 years. Stan graduated with a bachelor of science in Agronomy, with a Range and Forage Production option, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in 1987, and began his career with the Soil Conservation Service in 1987 (now the Natural Resources Conservation Service).
