The newly formed Kansas Soil Health Alliance and No-till on the Plains are co-hosting a soil health field day at Custer Farms near WaKeeney, Kansas. Attendees can see cover crops, test plots, and soil heath demonstrations at the farm of Brice Custer. NRCS Regional Soil Health Specialist Candy Thomas will be on hand to share her knowledge and experience with farmers.

2:00-4:00 - Cover crop field demo - soil pits, infiltration demonstrations, fencing demonstration
The Kanas Soil Health Alliance seeks to:
- Promote the benefits of soil health principles to Kansas growers.
- Provide up-to-date science-based information pertaining to soil health.
- Promote the benefits of soil health principles to Kansas growers.
No-till on the Plains mission is to provide education and networking on agriculture production systems that model nature.
